Look at head flow differences between your 8v and 16v. If it's a sbe a punchy turbo may be a detriment. High cylinder pressure low rpm=bent or broken connecting rods

this isn't the 60s, you have a after market ecu, just get it tuned and run the higher compression. it will be so much nicer to drive. no need to knock your compression into the ****ter

so far so good with the 5.3 in. after all of the work ive done to it i will say with this true turbo cam in the car it is so much nicer to drive. it is much quieter at idle and feels alot better...
