It seems like every time I pull the transmission on a 240 for any reason and bolt it back in, the nuts in the framerails just spin. Usually at the last, tightening turn, but sometimes mid-thread....

I've finally recieved my rebuilt LSD 1031 rear axle for my 242, all powdercoated and pretty. I made a tool at work out of 7075 aluminium to press in the bushings and set to work today....

Looks good. Manual or auto? The oil leak is most likely the valve cover gasket and/or oil cap. Could be caused by a clogged PCV system so make sure that is clean first and replace gaskets second.

The M90 really is a big, clumsy, unwieldy thing with agricultural ratios compared to the slender Getrag 262 Close Ratio dogleg. I've got an M90II as well but I'm saving it for my turbo build. :)
