Most high performance springs will loose a significant amount of spring force after a while, especially if using am aggressive cam and lots of RPM. They're usually a consumable with race engines....

I'm not sure what size squirters you are using, but VW engines use them in a few different sizes.
M6 threaded oil squirters 7 to 8 lb-ft or torque.

I think all TKO transmissions use the same bell housing bolt pattern, which is different than the older GM 4 speeds... and I think this is where the confusion is.

If it's on a flat-ish surface, oscillating saws work really well to scrap it off. You can get a variety of blade widths to work in tight areas vs large flat areas.

I had similar experiences with a set I installed...

I had similar experiences with a set I installed for a friend. They felt way better than the blown out OE struts, and did the job for years.

I haven't tried a set out with higher spring rates...
