It depends on which distributor you have. Alternate 1 distributors have a removable chopper wheel. Alternate 2 distributors don't and will require the shaft to be removed.

There is one small difference on the '86- drivers door lock. You can't push the button down with the door open. You have to lock it with the key. It's so you can't lock your keys in the car.

Note that a 140 speedo is 1030/mi and a 164 speedo is 990/mile and they look identical to the 240...

It sounds like the wires on the sender are reversed. The terminal marked G on the sender goes to the gauge (should be a green wire.). The one marked WK goes to the light (black wire).

I wouldn't raise the compression over 9.5:1 unless you're going to use a D cam or larger or it'll ping. Use 91 octane minimum.

An electronically controlled advance is worth the money mostly...
