I found out that the slave cylinders have different internals. A fix is the 5mm trick for the pivot or 20mm pushrod extension

Manual swapped 740 brake lights always on

The brake lights always stay on. So I've disconnected one wire that goes to it. If I don't it'll stay on while the car is off.

I loved my m90 and I've beat the piss out of...

I loved my m90 and I've beat the piss out of mine. I've run 30 pounds of boost through mine on a 50 trim and it still takes the abuse. I also haven't welded 3rd gear.

1990 740 Regina 5 speed dies when hot

The car dies out gradually and if I press the accelerator when it gets warm it completely falls flat on its face. Happens more when it is warm outside. When it’s cold outside it would behave better....
