Seems to me like only metallic and white cars ’81-91ish have painted airdams. After ’91 or ’92 they’re all black plastic. A quick look at 240’s ’81-93 for sale confirms this.

Old overload springs in the rear, stock in the front. The perspective makes the front seem higher than it really is. It sits kind of funny (rake) so I’m going to lift the front about 2” as well.

The M90 does not need or use a pilot/spigot...

The M90 does not need or use a pilot/spigot bearing. There is a bushing pressed into the crank on M90 equipped cars but it is only there for the tool to center the clutch disc upon installation.

Off the top of my head the stock B230F with a 530 runs 9.8:1. With a 531 it drops to 9.3:1. Shave that thing 1.5mm at least.

93 and newer got oil cooled pistons, 95 and newer got the M90 gearbox, which was reinforced on 97 and newer cars IIRC. So pretty much the newer the better I think. :)
