Spray water mixed with baking soda on the plug wires at night and look for arcing. Bad wires usually cause misfires though.

I would also wiggle test all the wiring.

Try doing a voltage drop test on the battery cables. I fix some trucks that have complaints of intermittent no crank and the voltage drop test can reveal bad cables. 250mv is the cutoff.

Dont use butt connectors! They work, but on modern cars they can trigger codes due to the resistance from the crappy connection they provide. Solder and heat shrink is better.
