I can't remember if 240s have a molded plastic intake hose or something rubber, but I've had several 7/9 cars that had a collapsing intake hose that would only collapse once conditions got hot hot....

No, it centers the rear axle. When I lowered my car, it didn't rub. But I could visibly see the rear was off center, and that bothered me aesthetically. So I got an adjustable panhard.

I had well over $1500 in it by the time mine was running. Porbably closer to the $2k mark honestly. Although I'm sure you can get it done cheaper if you're patient and know what you're doing.

But the other style is 1991 and earlier.
