Lowering Springs

TB Volvo cognoscenti, looking to get confirmation of identifying the springs below.

140 - black springs, I believe it is the 140 due to the pigtails at both ends of the rear spring

I went through something similar last winter. All 4 wires were popped out of the connector that goes to the throttle switch. Each of the white wires has a number code on it. They will be 17, 14, 20...

I don't think you've got a dead ECU. But if you wanted to rule it out, I have an ECU that is known to be good - '72 car still runs - that you could use to swap to see if it makes any difference.

The 142 seats would have a latch to allow access to the back seat. The 144 seat does not have this latch. You could use the 142 front seats in your 144 without any issue however.

Mike, this happens to be the same valve I'm having trouble with. I'm doing the same thing recommended by vvpete. The other item you might want to replace while you're at it is the rubber brake hose....
