Works great, I believe both used with shim under bucket conversions. I think the ramp is too aggressive for the standard shim over buckets.

I have never boxed the stock stuff but I know that putting my stiffer units on was a noticeable improvement so i would assume that boxing the stock stuff would probably be as well.

volvo saw borked cranks when they were designing the b230 in testing thats why they added the harmonic damper. Forged b23 crank doesn't need it cause its strong like ukraine.

With any good weld the part just wont come out as one piece unless you completely remove the weld and even then you need to use a lot of force as the base metal...
