Did that on the V8 Wagon years ago. Used-4 teflon hose for the pressure side, -6 hose for the return side, also added an oil cooler on the return side.

I put a Chevy 350 in my wagon back in Dec '88, I used a powerglide trans, had one at the time. The powerglide fit with no tunnel mods, as for other trans you might need to mod the tunnel.

I got a O/D tester from a trans shop years ago that closed, never used it. I ended up selling it to a guy that rebuilt trans and O/D units. I have rebuilt many O/D units, but they were out of the car.
