i dont have a picture handy but a front bar from a v6 240/262 will bolt right on and clear the oil pan. Thats what i have on my car, mine is from a 78 262c.

I like that setup for sure with the bolt in bottom plate i might give that a try. I used the big bolt in plates from the frame rails to the subframe on my other 240 that has a ford 5.0.

Dont let wiring be the reason you go carbed. My wiring took one Saturday morning. Its very simple to wire a 5.0 then you dont have the poor drivabilty of a carb.
