So, you cannot use the imgur app as far as I can tell. But on the website, I made a picture^^^ but it's huge. Does anyone know what to do to make it smaller?

Yeah the imgur app is absolute bollocks. Not useful in any way. Otherwise imgur is fantastic.

You can edit the size of the photos(and other things) right there at your images page. Click on "view image info" and select edit. Then check the ones you want to edit and click "edit".

Or select "800x600" on the auto-resize drop down menu before uploading your pictures.

OR just edit that post and add a lowercase L right before the .jpg and it turns into this:

Oh and I did pick this up. I'm going to port it out some to better match the v band. Is the general consensus to port the wastegate hole also?

Now I've got to (eventually) figure out a 3" down pipe.

Alright. All pictures downloaded from photobucket. Rehosted to Imgur. And then every single picture in this thread was replaced and is working again. That took several nights to finish. I feel like I just completed a major project on the car.

Also, I have a 3" down pipe in the works to go with my straight flange housing pictured above, so hopefully that comes full circle before too long. I also picked up STS machining's new version of the bronze m46/m47 shifter bushings with delrin inserts. These will replace the first generation I originally installed.

I posed this question in Performance several weeks back.... most said NO, they recommended a better WG actuator to completely open the swing gate. I'm going to buy the KINUGAWA version for the TD04.

I'm sorting out the 3" DP as well.... I have one supposedly built by JAO/TLAO. Test fit looks pretty good.

Who welded the V band onto that turbine?

I'm hoping I can have my downpipe made to not hang any lower than factory. That's my goal. And I bought that straight housing already set up that way from white855t on here.

I got sts machining's new bronze m47 shifter bushings with delrin inserts installed today. The new inserts are worlds better than the old soft rubber "bushings". I got everything swapped over and my first impressions are that this was a bigger improvement than the original bronze bushing swap. Shifts feel as precise and crisp as I imagine they can with an m47. Worthwhile mod for sure.

My down pipe is not yet accommodating but I installed my wideband today. Ran power from the non-existent heated seats fuse location and the sensor wiring through the firewall. Made for a really clean install in a 3d printed vent pod. I also swapped the boost gauge out for a black matching vdo gauge.

Very interesting read sir, keep up the fine work.

I appreciate that. Always nice to hear. I work at a slow peace so at least I can take a bit of pictures.

I made the same mistake again as per usual. My crank pulley came loose and I sheared the dowel on the crank timing gear. I kind of welcome this though since I need to reseal my water pump and maybe my camshaft. So this will give me the opportunity. This time I'll be using the proper 44 ft pounds plus 1/6th rotation. And loctite...

I washed her today for the first time in months.

Otherwise the car has been running pretty well. So well in fact that I've been considering transmission options. Currently running a hydraulic m47 so thinking m90 may be the least expensive option, for a stronger manual transmission. T5 I know has shifter placement problems and I haven't seen any off the shelf options for extending it back 4 inches. I've also considered getting Aw71 bits. The m47 is still doing ok but definitely making noise in 2nd gear and I'm not brave enough to push it in third very often. I'd love to hear opinions on any of this if anyone is reading.

Besides that, I've started gathering parts for a wasted spark setup. Of course my first purchase was the buchka wasted spark board from cflomoto.com. A member on here, Duder, sells them and has been very helpful thus far with my questions. I'm thinking I'm going to go with the well documented Bosch coil pack and maybe the Miata power stage. Regardless, I'm excited to ditch the distributor.

So getting the next crank gear installed when it arrives and collecting and installing the wasted spark parts are next on the agenda. I'll be working towards a transmission as funds allow once I get a direction. Hopefully the m47 can hold on in the mean time.

Damn bro, this is sick! Quick question on the Do88 I was hoping you could answer. On the website it says the ic piping works on 940s without AC but it looks like you didn't take yours out, did it require much modification of the pipes?

The "940 without ac" is the older 740 style intercooler with top inlet/outlet. There should be another option for "92 740/940 with ac". There was zero trimming needed to retain ac. The only thing I had to modify at all was the factory air box.

No need for LOCTITE on the crank HB attachment bolt.... just clean it up (I believe the green book says it must be DRY), pull the first stage with a torque wrench, then get a nice 3 ft. piece of pipe with a breaker bar for the 60* pull. I've not seen one come loose (on my cars OR any of my son's cars, all B230s) since I became infected with Volvo in 2009.

I took your advice as this will be the first time I've actually used a torque wrench for it. But tightened to the 44 ft lbs, then with a breaker bar and pipe, turned it at least another 60?. First test drive and all seems well again.

Yaaaassssss

Than you Duder for making these readily available and getting them to the peoples. I know they were hard to come by for a period of time.

Today, I began swapping out my conical flange to a straight flange hotside with a 3" v band. I took my 16t apart and swapped hotsides. A friend of mine helped me build a 3" downpipe. We decided to get rid of the cat and neck it down to run into my 2 1/2" tme cat back system. It really does look tiny compared to the 3" pipe but it'll do for now. It's not finished, but it is all fitted and tacked together where it will stay. It fits really nicely with ample clearance everywhere. And it still tucks up close to the body. The lowest point of the exhaust is the same as it was before. This is the only picture I snapped after cleaning up for the night.
