Hey everybody...
I am going to have to replace the bottom seat straps on my 1971 Volvo 164 front seats.
The driver's side seat strap has hardened into something that may be as hard as mild steel, and has sagged like a bucket handle. It no longer even contacts the lower seat cushion.
Fortunately, Scandix sells either the uncut seat strap material by the foot, or for a bit more, sells it cut to length with the tabs already installed. Supposedly this material is a bit more robust than what is more commonly available through trim shops.
The question I have is that Scandix recommends two people for this job.
Would I be better off to take it to my trim guy, or try to install it myself?
