I've owned this car since may of 2005 when it looked like this,
242.jpg

At the time it needed,
  • Radiator.
  • Intercooler and piping
  • Turbocharger that didn't leak a quart of oil every minute.
  • Ignition Coil
  • plugs/wires
  • Fuel pump wiring/relay that didn't suck
  • Tires
So far I've managed to take care of most of those things except for the tires and fuel pump wiring.
Keep in mind that most of the time I was working on my old 245 and not on the 242.

Now it looks like this,
2.jpg

Because I'm lazy I have a bunch of parts to go on,
  • KG2T cam
  • MSnS-E v2.2board with relayboard
  • Triangle/BNE/kaplhenke camber plates
  • stiffer springs/coilovers to go with^^
  • flathood needs painting
  • boost gauges/AFR etc...
  • B21F intake mani
  • Pioneer MP3/CD head unit
  • HKS ssqv bov

I'm sure I'll remember more things that I have(to do) when I get home.
I'll also have more pics.

Here are some more pics,

Soldering up the relay board.

The relay board is done now and so is the MS to RB cable.
I'm going to end up mounting the relay board on the drivers side in the engine bay where the stock 240 turbo k-jet ignition thing sits under the little sliding plastic cover.

I had a friend of mine throw the 90+ on his milling machine and open it up a bit.
After this pic I used a grinding wheel to smooth things out a bit more.

The .52 compressor housing.

This doesn't look good.
Just not appealing to me for some reason.

The Fuel Pump wiring is working now.
Seems in all that mess the wire that connects 31b on the relay to a signal output on the ignition module was disconnected.
This weekend should see the oil feed gasket fixed and the other virgos with better tires put on the car.

The wiring has been a real pain in the butt.
I've had some time off this week so I've been working on getting the K-jet ganked out and the MSnS stuff put in.
I'm in wiring hell right now but it's gonna get better.
The gray 8 pin connector for the engine harness is dead so tomorrow I'm going to be redoing the starter and alternator wiring and putting in a new molex connector to replace the 8 pin thing that is nearly disolved.
I think I've got all the other K-jet wires pulled out and removed :)
The relay board is mounted where the stock K-jetz ignition module mounts on the bracket by the coil.
I'll try and get some pics of the mess posted up tomorrow.

moar pics with descriptionas.

No more Medusa in the corner of my engine bay.

The shiny B21F intake manifold, it's still gunky on the inside though.
I think a pressure washer will clear it out.

This is the bad old wiring I'm taking care of.

I got the boost gauge installed.

Another shot of the relay board,
I just cut a piece of aluminum and drilled holes so it would line up.

looks awesome Josh, glad to see it coming along!

edit:: the wiring looks miserable...
It is miserable,
The cabin side of the wiring is redone with the molex connector,
I just have to redo the alternator and starter wiring and I'll be done.
Then I can really get down to the MS wiring which isn't really that big of a deal at all.

Well,
I've moved to a different state and the 242 is stuck in exile.

I have procured a billet fuel rail that will be mounted to the head for the EFI injectors.
I also have a lightly crunched IC out of a chevy diesel truck that will be getting chopped and have custom end tanks made so it will fit in the front.
The chevy IC is larger as far as height and width go than the powerstroke IC I ran in the 245 but it's also thinner.

I have a PSIC that has been cut shorter, if you're interested. Still super wide, but only about 13" tall. Metal end tank variety.

I also have some nice end tanks that will work on a 3" thick core.
