HUB's 1968 122s Wagon Project

Good luck! I'm trying to get my engine and trans back in the car tonight, then get the floor and whatnots cut up and measure for the driveshaft. I'm interested to see what you end up with for mounts.

Morning everyone,

Here is an update over the weekend. Have the engine supported by the trans mount and some packing foam under the pan.

Discoveries for the day (general overview)
1. Under drive pulley will need modified or will need to find a new one (two row).
2. Idler arm appears is may hit alternator bracket when turning left (yes I'll order new tie rods).
3. Will need to do custom motor mounts.
4. Will use OE turbo manifold and will NOT modify China/ eBay one. Have plenty of room it appears.
5. Appear to have more room to work with for the intake manifold than I had previously thought.
6. Dipstick hits master cylinder.

these issues sound familliar :)
1) I had mine machined one rib off and ballanced (with crancshaft and flywheel)
2) i made a bracket with a upsidedown bracket of a B21 as base
3) Yes, you also saw that one comming i think :p
4) Ported OEM working just fine, nothing better then cast MF for turbo application.
5) Looks like you going to build a peace of art there :)
6) Just bend it (think i used a plumbing pipe bender)

Your build looks so neat, all glim polish and shine, this will get way better than volvo ever made them. Keep up the good work!

Got a 90+ manifold in. Did a test fit and have some room I can work with.

Evening everyone,

Worked on the coils some more. Used phenolic for now. Will most likely make a metal piece and powder coat it. Temporary hardware installed.
