Hi guys,

Are all the doors and front wheel arches exchangeable between a 76 245 and 82 244 wagon?

I have a 76 245 that is under construction for a v8 project, I can't find necessary body parts new or they are very expensive.
Found a pretty clean 82 244 (no 245s around), it will be cheaper to buy the car and use its parts and paint mines to its color than sell it at a discount.

Do you think they are interchangeable?
I can do some modifications for fitting but are they close enough to be adaptable?

thank you..

Thank you for the information guys..
The car is bare shell right now so i can do any type of wlding and bending so to say, the old doors and fenders are in bad shape that is why i need to change instead of trying to fix them..

So basically, the fenders and doors are an exact fit, except the lock/latch mechanism, which can be fixed by exchanging them too (remove from 82 and welt on 76 on the right spot.. (don?t worry got a good body shop)

Anything else i should know, how about rear fenders?

Cheers

242, 244, and 245 rear quarter panels (fenders) are all different. A 244 rear quarter won't work on a 245 or a 242. Then, you have two different types of 245 rear quarter panels. 1975-80 and 1981-93.

Not that any of that matters, these cars are 20 years past being worth doing a quarter panel on in the real world.
