As with any repair job, good quality parts will be your key to success. I personally hate to do a job twice, so you may want to look into getting new strut mount plates, and ball joints while your at it........this is the part I don't love about the P2's they don't give good quality parts away thats for sure.
I can't tell you my experience with the cheap stuff, never done it.
I am sure with your skills the job will be a breeze.
