Started working on getting the old clutch cable out, but it definitely appears to be an aftermarket cable, so removing it didn't seem to intuitive while looking at the new one.
Basically, where I'm stuck is
As you can tell, I got the ball off the clutch fork no problem, but I'm stuck at this. The insert doesn't seem to want to come out, and the rubber around it is pretty beat up. Doesn't seem to be able to pull out though. Any input? (Especially Jared) From the searching I've done, it seems like this is a pretty common answer that no one ever really answers well.
Also, in case y'all were wondering where it broke... This is weird to say the least.
What might this mean? I'm hoping the cable clip was just weak and that the clutch fork isn't seized up (though I was able to "jiggle" it, so it's not like it's frozen). I don't know. I just don't want the new cable to snap as soon as I put it in if there's something bigger that's broken.
