Tan Catamaran (85 244 DL)

Haha that's me driving it in the last 2.

yep

haha love that air dam siting at the same level as the ground. looks like you have a lot of fun with the car, nice one :)

it takes quite a bit to get it like that (i think i nailed 3 or 4 cones there... and when i crossed the finish, so guy comes running up, and was like, your bumper is falling off...

my only reaction was, " hah, its a volvo, ive got zip ties, it will be all good..."

yea, i have a lot of fun with the car... its cheap thrills, and a good way to learn / experiment with stuff

new intake hose helped a bit, been having problems with what i believe is a fuel pump relay ( could be filter)

also popped out the o2 sensor, think its time to replace it, and hope the threads arent jacked up in the manifold itself

also... picked up a free e30 m3 drivers seat, soon to be hacked together and installed...

updates ...

the tan catamaran turned 225k, and 226k recently on the day before davis, and the way up to davis

i got a new o2 sensor in (big thanks to steve for having a volvo one in the back of his wagon, and then selling it to me)

i added a lot more tire (unfortunately it is in the wrong direction)

pic of truck tires / added height

i pulled the fuel pump relay, soldered it , and replaced it, and it preformed flawlessly on the way up to and back from davis (as did the rest of the car)

did the trip to davis, (approximately 950ish miles) and had a great time

Picture053Medium.jpg

i got 27.69 mpg on the way back from davis, doing what i believe was 70ish the entire way back..

The car is coming along nicely.

I have a very reasonably priced sub amp, some ipd lowering springs and KYB shocks/struts. The suspension stuff will be an easy swap, it can be done when I replace all of my goods with the new stuff. You know where to find me if you are interested. We are all broke, I will make this as easy as possible.
