200~hp as cheap as possible

Oh how I miss the days when drifting used to be more about car control and suspension and less about 'angle mods', pulling the handbrake on a RWD car to 'initiate', and too-much-power on bald burner tires.

I used to drift my mom's Datsun 810 Maxima when I was 16 (1983) until I looped it into a mailbox with my younger sister and her boyfriend in the back seat. 2.4l I-6+ 4spd manual. Now I want the car to stick at autocross because it's faster and takes more skill, any mutton head can get the rear tires to spin with a decently powered rwd.

Never heard of a 12c. Maybe a 12b? 12 psi is fine. Maybe it?s close to pushing hot air but I guarantee it?s faster than 7 psi lol

Meant the 12b, yea.

I have to figure out how I can add higher boost. I just bought sbabbs chipped ECU for fueling and acceleration, a new manual boost controller and a electronic boost gauge.

I honestly don't feel confident doing it myself because I really feel like ill **** it up somehow. I'm gunna watch a bunch of youtube videos before I do it

Bumping this thread back to the top because I found something pretty interesting. Per this thread - http://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=226620 - I went to BSR's website and found this - https://en.bsr.se/tuning-kits/t/778/volvo-740-t-1989-1998 - Its apparently a chipped ECU that provides a +60HP gain (with appropriate modifications of course).

I tried to find threads where people used it but couldn't find anything. Could be worth a shot?
I made 215 hp 230ftlbs of torque to the wheels with stock lh2.2, China Bay 20g ($300),reman brown top injectors ($200) and 3" exhaust (~$100- made it myself.)

Don?t throw your money at stuff that we?ve never seen people use. I highly doubt there?s any safe drop in ?chip? to make 220hp with stock everything. Bigger turbo, more fuel, free exhaust, more boost, better intercooler etc. it?s a simple magic recipe that works for essentially any turbo car.

I wasnt going to buy it, just a curious recommendation. As far as me, i'm doing all the upgrades you mentioned
