Project Volvo presents: the Golden Girl

awesome car dude. I really like the color, kinda reminds me of mine :)

I like the fact that you are taking your time with the +t and not just slapping stuff together. You will definitely be able to tell once it is all together.

Part is trying to be meticulous part is being lazy. Those two attributes don't coincide very well :-P Money is always a factor as well.

the seats look really good and they seem to match well with the rear cloth seats. what did you get them out of?

haha that sounds like me exactly. I will take my time and detail something like crazy one day and then get inpatient and start slapping stuff together haha. And money is always an issue with us volvo guys.

Just be happy you are not in AZ, it is almost impossible to work for any extended amount of time in the summer. Kinda sucks

on account that I suck (started a job, as well as looking into a different job all the mean while doing side jobs) have pulled the air box weeks back and rigged in a cone filter temporarily. Began painting some parts just to keep things looking clean.

-Ran into some issue with radiator/ IC brackets so I'm expecting those any day now. -Began finishing a harness for the maf.
-Mounted the oil cooler haven't run the lines for it yet. And I repaired my SLR so
-expect high Rez pics when I start taking them again.

-All the IC pipes have been found and or laid out, debating on blow through maf setup or not, let me know what you guys think about that.

we made brackets to adapt and offset the original slider, i had to bend the slider a bit to make it work... it also lowered the seat ~2inches (for me is is perfect for short people they need a pillow)

what did you do on the other side of the seat, or was it the same thing?

just asking because i'm about to adapt some recaro trophy for my 245, and these look to be the same seat bottom. mine have the same threaded holes in the seat. thanks

yeah same thing, I just used the stock 240 slider and bent the handle since the setup makes the seats low at over 6ft its perfect for me.

under each bolt is a circular spaces to offset the studs&nuts from the sliders

Awesome, thanks. I'll have to get mine finished up already then. The bracket doesn't flex noticeably?

I'm 6' 4" so low is what I'm looking for.

Been rather busy so i'll just leave these pictures, and if you guys need AN-4 fittings don't use the jegs one try fragola or some other company. I'll explain that later. Those are a few of the parts going on tomorrow, the turbo is in I was just sorting out the piping, going with a blow-through setup.

and still not done I have a list of things to sort out before I even fire up the car. Oil cooler and relocation kit done (huge waste of time trying to figure out ideal routing. All the IC piping sorted out (for now, as well as the intake that's kinda rigged) a lot of cutting and de-burring to make the piping work.

I want to do a catch can or something eventually, the intake to pcv hose is a sight for sore eyes. I also want to swap in a smaller coolant overflow tank as well.

There's a large list of things to add or change and I have some other parts to throw at the build when it's all said and done.

Does anyone know how much extra oil is needed when adding an oil cooler and an oil filter relocation kit?

*oh and quick side not stud removers should not be needed to remove oil filter studs. simply double nut with the nuts from oil filter relocation kits, it worked amazingly easy. ( I didn't even need a socket and wrench a socket worked great)

there's a small leak from one of the oil relocation kit lines and it turns out all the injectors were dead, and a spark plug wire was arching. The overall layout of pipes, oil lines, and hoses in general is a mess, but all the pieces are in place.

running open down pipe right now but will get the rest of the exhaust on once I have the car up and running normally. I'll the to get a vid of the car running i'm hoping the sound will be alright. And hopefully try to do a before and after with the exhaust.

explains why i felt like i was sitting on the ground in it.

As promised but delayed due to long time uploading and well trying to get the exhaust on... (took 3-4 hours to get a bolt on kit because of one of those triangular guards by the gas tank, If i removed the guard it would be done much faster, but I wanted to keep it so I had to bend it out in order to fit the exhaust piping.

Exhaust vid will be uploaded later on tonight or tomorrow.

the wastegate decided to wiggle off so I was rather confused with what was going on. I just quickly snapped some pictures and will take another video i'd relly like to redo most of the piping and change out the IC but for now the maf doesnt want to sit tight on one of the hoses I may have to try the hair spray trick and torque it down a little better. Car is only running ~10psi.

here are the pictures and I will update periodically as I have the chance to explain how and what and whatever else.
