Very nice. I am anxious to see some 1/4 mile times when you get the car all sorted out after the overhaul. This will be an awesome sleeper. Please keep us updated.

i think he burned the seat. I believe I would. fortunately for me, pleather hoses off really well ;)

Car is lookin great dude, you definitely need to bring it down to SE

Coolest project on TB! How much $$$ do you think you have invested in this project? How many hours of work? How much was that adapter plate and where did you get it done? This would be my dream swap.

Thanks buddy. I would love to make SE, but as it stands now I'll probably be ~4 weeks into a new job at the time, so taking time off will be hard. Besides, the car won't be road worthy anyway. Next year though. I promise!

Thank you. I think I have roughly $3000 into it so far, including the cost of the car. The swap itself and all the rough-in work probably took ~350 hours. I think I've got double that invested in total though. The plate cost me $25 in billet. The machine work was free and my brother and I did all the bolt patterns ourselves.

could you mail me your bolt pattern for T5 to T5 engine :)
I want to make something like that on my next project ('76 Volvo 242) but i am still hesitating between T5 and B6304T engine. I allready have a T5 engine, but B6304 is something ....

Dude....I feel terrible about your legs, how did that happen?

Seriously a sleeper, I love the car!

it is not centered with the bolt holes.

the auto bellhousing from the 960 has a centered ring, the plate is machined to slip-fit into that ring, another ring is found on the bearing retainer on the front of the t5 that slips into a hole, in the center of the plate, concentric to the machined ring that fits the bellhousing - karl's bearing retainer had been modified prior to when he made the plate, so measurements of that would be no good to you anyhow, but the point is, the bolt holes are the last things drilled into the plate.

Pointless pity bump update:

About to box up all this **** for some lucky soul in Norway:
<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/GOhFXzbmRRE-RhBSM3eyDQ"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/kbuchka/SMhpVq-IxHI/AAAAAAAALJg/ecNo-0oZPZg/s400/DSC01298.JPG" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/kbuchka/Rnadom">Rnadom</a></td></tr></table>
Tapped the fuel rail for a pressure sender:
<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/KdVKwyMyzY3yah1WwIdtsg"><img src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/kbuchka/SMhFABxU8CI/AAAAAAAALIE/Ex7EwZDsqow/s400/DSC01294.JPG" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/kbuchka/1979Volvo242">1979 Volvo 242</a></td></tr></table>
Not quite working though, so I think either the sender or the gauge is busted.

Picked up this beauty for $75, including the poly endlink bushings:
<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/w4vlYe0wko6e1FclEbaGbQ"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/kbuchka/SMhFAU7ahrI/AAAAAAAALIM/vEypRxXDVkc/s400/DSC01299.JPG" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/kbuchka/1979Volvo242">1979 Volvo 242</a></td></tr></table>

I'll probably be ordering the VEMS early next week. I've also picked up some 788cc injectors and a set of rear HDs. **** is starting to happen.

Some dude in Norway lucked out big time, did he get the harness as well?
So when are you going to raid your brothers closset and "borrow" some more funbits?
Winter project tube header and Holset you have sittin on the shelf?
Better get your ish runnin for SCD :p

Yeah, the harness isn't in the photos because it looks like ass right now. I'm going over all the connections before I send it out.

I'm tempted to steal his OMP kevlar buckets. Not like he'll need them any time soon. :-P

I definitely want to bring the car to Swedish Car Day, so the goal right now is to have the 15g rebuilt and the VEMS done by then. After that it's header and holset time.

Do you need the deep drop bar for the whiteblock swap?

Yeah, the dip for the pickup tube and the oil filter are in the way. You can sort of make it out here:

If I were running a 6 cyl I wouldn't have this problem. Justin (kildea) can get away with a regular bar on his 240.

Good list, and that would make it cheaper, but if I pulled the whole motor couldn't I use it for mockup and testing? Do the mounts transfer over? I'm sure all this info is in one of your other threads, haha.

By the way, got the parts on monday, made me really giddy. Thanks again.
