Vince's '89 244tic sleeper

Got it running yesterday. Everything seems to be doing pretty well. Took a 2 hour midnight drive with no ill effects. Going from a K-cam to a real turbo cam sure makes a hell of a difference. I'll dump the oil today and retorque the head bolts. Looks like she's back in business and better than ever. Hopefully tomorrow or Tuesday I'll tune it on the dyno.. My RPM fuel maps arent bad, but the MAP fuel maps are kinda sketchy from the C2 cam swap.

awesome! so this is with the B230FT stroker with ported head and Enem C2 cam? sounds like a great setup..and paired with a T5 should make for ear to ear smile.

Nope.. the stroker motor is still sitting on the engine stand. I've got a 93 squirter block in there with about 175k. But yes, it's got the T-5 in there with a G80 out back.

Heres a few pics, the quality kinda sucks because I took them with my cell phone. I decided to go against the red, bronze seems to suit it well. I'll put up more pics when I have time.

I'll go to SE this year, I swear..

Gettin the oil system primed before the timing belt goes on..

Took the car on a short 500mi road trip Friday and Saturday. Didn't really need the tools except to re torque some of the new gaskets. Car runs okay on a crappy tune I put on it.. It's getting roughly 25mpg on the highway, but it's in desperate need of a 4.11:1 ring and pinion. I'll pull it into the shop tomorrow, change the oil and filters and hopefully by mid march I'll be able to get the axle outta the spare car that's stuck in 3" of water.
Definitely finding out the C2 turbo isn't a street cam by any standards.. I had to raise my idle from 750ish to about 1100 just to get it to run smoothly without IAC. until about 3200rpm it's pretty much an absoloute dog. Once it gets to about 4500 it's making max boost (15psi) as it gets close to 7200rpm where I have the rev limit set it just feels like it's getting going. Once I get it on the dyno this week and tune it I'll bump it on up to 7750. I don't feel like I need to turn the boost up anymore than about 20psi for street use, I have a feeling it's breathing a lot better on it's own.. Proof comes out in the pudding.. I'll have some dyno numbers up by Wednesday.

:omg:

have fun with that.

1100 is still low. I think Rob's car idled even higher. Sounds good, doesn't it?

Predictions for HP? I predict the chart will look like a single turbo supra, only much lower numbers. :-P
