240 Has anyone removed the rain gutters above the windows?

I meant to put the giant drip rail trim instead of the rail itself. I understand that I would get soaked every time it would rain in SoCal, which is never.

I meant to ask if anyone has removed the drip rail trim before and if it affected the drain effectiveness. I already removed it on both sides. Looks a lot better without them. I might tape up the exposed spot later though, some of the paint is chipped off and there is a bit of stained paint where one of the trim must've been rusting out.

A better question may have been; How does one remove the drip rail trim without turning it into a corkscrew and chipping up the paint?
