Spent a few hours Monday running around looking for hitch hardware, you'll never guess who had the right bolts
. Mounted up the hitch I had laying around for two years.

Wednesday I went and bought a dolly, $350 and painted with the worst paint ive ever seen, it melts at over 90 degrees and gets on everything, but its functional.

Friday after getting some ramps (the dolly came with only one) and tire straps got the 850 load up, quite the ordeal with only 1 working battery and ramps that are too short

Stopped once to tighten the straps but the tow itself was fine, you could almost forget the 4000lbs behind you.

Made it home and the 242 met its new motor, and the 850 made it's last limp into the garage

Then towed my buddies miata, that didn't go as well....
Spot the differences: (not my cat unfortunately, he doesn't pose well for pictures)

Sunday tore the 850 front end off, test fit the Me7 intake, picked apart the wring harness until It could be run with just 12v applied to the ecu and jumping the starter wire (plus key on for the fuel pump but we'll ignore that)

Blasted the entire garage with oil, who puts an oil cooler thermostat valve in the oil cooler itself and not the block fittings

Then pull the sub frame with the engine and trans on it, hopefully tomorrow ill wire up the coil on plug and clean up the harness. being one unit I can still run the engine and make sure the wiring is good while waiting for parts

On a side note an item for the 242 arrived from Poland Friday, I now need a flathood, if anyone closer the Oregon has one let me know, if not I guess it's road-trip time
