can non slotted get machined to be slotted?

It can be done, but there's more to it than just cutting the slot. There needs to be a relief cut for the drive shoe and a hole for the shaft machined as well.

Did 30 of them at one time.
But for a onesy it sure as hell better be some cam you have strong feelings for or you'll feel you wallet get lighter a whole bunch.

Not true. On TB, a hand held drill, vice and a abrasive saw are all you need.

You can always change to a block mount distributor or the wasted coil setups. Going to a block mount distributor will save you hundreds in tune up costs.
