Intake manifold

Will remove the nozzles on the runners(the car have been driven on gas)

And I need a new gasket, didnt know it was a different flange on the new intake manifold..

Took the car to the temporary "workshop"

Soon to be best friends! :-D

Cutted a little bit here..Will not use the trimmings here anyway

Grindend away old broken welding and welded again

All the way through the corner

Welded some holes in the engine compartment

Been crashed here aparently

Not decided if I will cut it away and replace it..

Welden holes in the front fender

The old weldings on the doors fixed

Welded holes in the door also

Fixed the problem here

And took this away, will replace it with black hoses or alu pipes

Spotted it togheter again, cutted away little bit more because of rust

The other fender fixed

Also the other door

Crack in this door also

But not on the welding itself

Spotted on a new peace, but big gap to fill

Finished welding and grinding

Some temporary paint

And started here again, can finish no that I know what I will do in the back..

Nice work.

On the cracks on the doors. I think that those are more due to people closing the doors by pushing on the large, mostly unsupported window frame, instead of the door itself. Had to fix a couple like that on my 242 as well.

Hmm, that sounds very likely

I tought it was beacuse of somebody smashing the doors shut to hard many times, but your thought is good

As you say, the window frame is not so stabile on the 242 doors--Maby a combination of the two also?

Throttle from 960, its 2,5 inches..The original 850 I was planning to use are only just over 2"

Washed the parts a little bit, need stronger things on the "wheel"

Do not fit

Drawing for adapter plate!

Thinking something like this..

Cutted in 25mm aluminu

A bit rough surface, but that will be fixed

Will be like this..Will weld the adapter plate to the intake manifold

Finished drawing for the exhaust flange

And cutted it out

Will redrill the holes with 9,5mm cutted them in 8mm..

The view is at my neighbors place..Our view is even better :-D

Drilled the holes in the exhaust flange

And tested it, it did not fit

Need to fix the drawing a little bit..

In the back it looked like this(exept from the angle grinder cut)

Cutted away

The start of a new peace

Made it round and started to adjusting it

Finish peace

And on place

Almost finished with all the small welding here and then I will weld the gap all the way

Welded in the new peace and grinded

Welded and grinded, but needs the last finish touch

Finished welding here also but need a little bit grinding..The new peace really turned out good!

Welded the other side

And started grinding

Looks like nothing, but this small work takes sooo much time!

Have been thinking about doing this with the rims!!Hmmmm :wtf:

The emblem are long gone

Unfortually it broke when i took it of......
Will be the old style volvo emblem there later! :-D

I like the wheels also..But they will be used a couple of years before I invest in some image or CCW wheels I think
