940 eftersom rallybil

Yeah. I was going to get some 300lb springs. October 6-7 is 50% off at ecology so ill get a solid axle and a few spare parts. I need to remove my front and (rare) rear sway. Plan is get it running good first because I have to re do the intercooler piping anyways and the exhaust..... Well that's a given.
I tried to figure out a way to run fender exhaust but it will be side piped right under the B pillar.
 
I went all jp on the turbo gasket. :-P

Hmm, Volvo truck gasket. Does the HY35W use the "not-quite-T4" Cummins flange? Are you running an adapter or a custom manifold on this beast?
 
Ah, yes. Next time you need T3 gaskets let me know and I'll send 'em gratis. I have an unlimited supply.

Out of curiosity what's the list price for the OE Volvo gasket?
 
Dunno. I have about a dozen of them. I get one with a headset on cummins/ Volvo etc... I have quite a few. No need to seperate the turbo from the manifold 90% of the time.

I was able to rebend the stock hard line and the stock banjo bolt.

Nice hardline mod. It was meant to be. Looks like you need a longer top front stud on your turbine inlet flange though.

Are you planning on rallycrossing or stage rallies with this? FRX was a good local (SoCal) rallyx group that I ran with several times, but it looks like they're kaput now. It was always a blast. CRS / SCCA might be your best bet in the SD area.
 
I shoulda ported the wastegate before I installed it. I knew better. It has bad boost creep. Gotta sort out the driverside boost tubes tomorrow I think.

Put the brown top injectors in and this thing is fun. It makes boost a lot faster than I thought it would. Gotta change the plugs and back the wastegate down a little. Took it down a few dirt roads and its just stupid. 1st boosts up then grabs second and just sits on the limiter. I can tell its going to be so fun.
