Has anyone used this? I tried it out in tuner studio to help smooth my cruise AFRs and it seems to rock the house. A rock solid 14.5:1 afrs through the cruise range, but I'm still trying to fix the low, near idle stuff. I hear its better if you can get the lag correct for your 02 sensor.
 
heck yes tuner studio is awesome. I had to manually fix the idle ve I think there was a way to filter low rpm.

Another thing i noticed was that after i shut off the car the laptop was still analyzing, probably just because its so slow.

the lag is controllable. You just have to set it.
 
This reminds me. I was looking at this as I'm tuning and I'm trying to set up my AFR table for cruise and emissions coming up. Anyone have a map I can look at? Thanks!
 
VE analyse is indeed amazing! i used it to tune my 800 t/m 5000 rpm you need a good AFR table. after tuning i use 5% O2 correction while driving. the result is a smooth running car!

when tuning i try to hit as much cells i can get (they turn green when TS tuned it enough).

I asked the developers if they can make a WUE-analyzer and they are working on it already!
imagine, start your (COLD) engine let it warmup and TS will tune your WUE curve!, I spend a lot of time tuning the WUE.

who needs megatune?

I made my (NA) AFR table like this:

set all the cells @ 14.8, then set the top 2 rows @ 13.0
I then set my cruse cells @ 15.8.

When looking in 3d at my table i smooth out the extreme transactions.

Don't knock it, for years it did it's job quite well. I remember using MS from v1.0, it's come a LONG way. ;-)
 
Tunerstudio is a tuning program, you can tune the megasquirt and MAKE a datalog with it.
Mega log viewer is a program where you can view(analyze) the log you made. i use them both

mega log viewer is the first software i payed for i think :p

just imagine tuner studio as a more up to date version of megatune.
 
Netbooks fit in 240 glove boxes.
Could be rigged on a drawer that pulls it out and opens it with glovie door, hardwired into car. Also usable for surfing porn in traffic, playing bad mp3s and even gaming, yet still looks like the 80's with the door closed.

I dismantled a dell d610 and installed it into the trunk. I've got a 17" monitor that slides from a hideaway section of glove box (going to revise this). The problem with netbooks is that the both the screen and keyboard are too small. I have a 15.2" dell that is difficult enough to tune from when we set out to tune because you can barely see the bins and gauges on the screen.

Actually it looks pretty much the same, but better because it is integrated into TS.

MLV is great, you can build a fuel map on the dyno in under an hour with it, and a lot of that time is going back and forth between TS and MLV, reloading maps, etc etc.

Making it all in one program is great.

The last time i used megatune, you still couldn't select/modify multiple cells at once. AKA useless. Maybe they've fixed that now. Regardless, integrating VE analyzer into the tuning software is awesome IMO.

Your statement assumes that your only using MLV to tune the fuel map,,, if you are you are a NOOB.
 
Being able to run VE analyzer from within the tuning environment rather than from a seperate program is more efficient. That's the difference. What you use MLV for is up to you and irrelevant to this fact. The functionality remains the same, it's just less file juggling.

you don't juggle files with TS, you can click view log and it opens it for you.

Sure, but we're talking about analyzing a datalog and then regenerating a fuel map based the afr targets table using VE analyzer, not just viewing a log. Try to keep up, ok? :-P

you can't say that VE Live is better then MLV because MLV does much more then just VE analysis... its not better its different...
