142 Wheels. 17x8 fit with 2-3 inch drop?

I like the look of deep lips. But on a 140, you take some compromise. I like the look of some 225/50s on a 15(16)x7.5or 205/55s on the same. Offset is going to depend on chain or strut clearance.

I vote to roll em and push those tires out. But that’s just my opinion, man.
 
Polaris fits with a 215/45, just have to cut or roll the "shelf" on the rear fenders. There is space on the inner side for a wider wheel.

Don't mind the front fender fitment, it's fiberglass.
 
I'd estimate 4" but bought it as a roller and never did a side by side comparison with a stock car. I'll make a second guess and say that from front wheel to aluminium inner fender was around 2.5" at most.
