Craziest Volvo Build/Modification ever?

jeeesus . ive seen this a few times on instagram,, always thought it was just a 142 with fenderflares

Great job!!!!!. I know what work goes into building some thing different, when I made my wagon a two door 29 years ago people thought I was crazy. Nice to see someone with a good mind and the finished product.

Pretty groundbreaking man, be proud, that is one of a kind! Followed ya on IG, has been inspiring to see your progress!
That's Awesome, thank you.
Hot damn
So how many times did you have to raise and lower the body ?

How well or not does the dash fit?

Plans for it ?
Probably around 30 which wasn't bad, I was expecting to do around 100. before cutting dash it didn't fit close at all. Trimmed all the way to the defroster outlets on back side. Narrowed it 5". Passenger side is not as close as I'd like it to the door so I'll probably redo the dash, picking up an 99 s70 tomorrow hopefully for a parts car. $400! Lots of plans, car is still mid build. I just ordered so much stuff in last two days. Vida, Dice, gauges, tb contactless kit, on and on and on. I'll do a manual swap, right now looking at stage 2 from Hilton for now.... I could go 2.5 but little spendier and they reccomment water meth. Going to build a downpipe real soon, going to tear a bunch of stuff apart in next week.
Damn dude, that's an awesome build for sure!
Thank YOu
How does it drive?
Really well actually considering. It does have that huge foot print. I just went cheap on suspension for now to get her going, I heard in the grapevine that BC racing was actually making a full coilover kit... been awhile with no updates. So I just went Sachs struts and IPD lowering springs and nivomat foolers in the rear and took two coils out. Still stock sways. Not bumpy, nice enough to daily. Took a lot of top weight out compared to the wagon.
Well done OP! This one should giddyup just fine.
Its pretty slow right now. 3rd Gear feels pretty good though. weighed in at 3340 lbs. full tank, Exactly 300 less than the wagon with full tank day before started cutting. But I've got some good supporting mods for later and plan on doing so. Be nice to run 13's. Want it more for a driver anyways.
Awesome build. If you ever come through Utah, let me know. I'd love to see it in person.
I'll be in Salt Lake a couple times a year, Hitting up Dear Valley and MTB's. Probably hit Moab in it next year. Maybe hit Miller when I get car more dialed.

Thank You, insane amount of work. I don't know how I did it in just 11 months so far. Around 1200 hours so far.

:D Nope.
I actually think that era of Volvo interiors were **** but the mechanics of it are cool.
I don't mind it, I had the 142 dash, needed some repairs but if I failed on the newer dash I would have just went full custom with the 142 one which would have cost more.
CHEESE AND RICE!

Incredible.
Thanks!

Yeah I plan next year to be at the IPD garage sale. I really pushed to make it this year but It just didn't happen. Build is just taking me a little longer than expected. But I'm on the homestretch for making it road worthy. Picked up a parts car, an 99 S70 AWD the other day for $400 and I have a ton of stuff coming in the mail. Just finished installing Vida from 1moretech. My dice showed up today.

Been following ya on instagram from day 1.
Most epic of all New OEM stuffed into old OEM ever!
That was the goal, keep it all Volvo as much as possible!
wow thats truly a dream build right there.
Thank You.
Put a 140 dash in there
I had it, quite beat up but I would of repaired it if I failed the p80 dash. p80 dash just easier and cheaper than 142... cost of custom gauges. Hard part would have been trying to retrofit everything under the dash like the defrost, and all plumbing... all the electrical. Seeings the firewall is still the V70 it just makes more since. Like I still have plumbing to the rear passenger floor board.
After reading your article, I can't believe how quickly your project came to fruition. That's a lot of work in a short period of time.
Thank you for reading! Honestly I'm still in shock how quickly I have done it looking back at pics and stuff. I even had breaks inbetween waiting on parts and stuff when nothing was getting done. I waited a month to start front clip because I was waiting on intercooler and piping and something else.

Built my 3" Downpipe today in a couple hours. Been doing a lot of other work as well. Took manifold off to do contactless TB kit, cleaned up the Mani. boost gauge, oil pressure gauge. Put the new prop shaft in today. Been doing welding still. Non exciting stuff lol. Need to order 3 inch flex pipe and 3 inch electric cutout.
