Thanks

They look after us well most likely due to the heat but we get garages/carports at every track we run at. Some charge you for it but well worth it that's for sure

These momo stars definitely 15*7 so must not be geminis. Some one must have ordered them for their volvo in the day. Came out of usa and have volvo caps

No luck on turbo. Has to be as it was in 1979 or slightly tweaked within the group c rules of that year.

I have Aussie replicas of the Momo Stars, made by CSA and they have Volvo caps on them too. Mine are 16"x7".

Great updates as always! Seems unreal to see the car so restored now and actually being raced. Way too cool.

Well Lakeside classic 2015 run and done. Weather held out and a great crowds turned out on Sunday for a great days racing across all categories.

Car went well and we finished all races with very few issues. Had a tyre delamination on warm down lap after last race and we have one weeping welsh plug. Both issues easily sorted before our final race outing for this year.

Here are a couple of professional photos courtesy of Ian at Shifting Focus

Lakeside Raceway Map - Great Historic track with lots of off camber corners and lots of Armco and very few gravel traps. If you go off the track most likely you will tag a wall with little forgiveness. If you damage the Armco they charge you $260 a panel to replace

Handling was improved. We dropped rear down 20mm since last race meet and adjusted koni front shocks from medium to hardest setting. It felt right everywhere except up around the eastern loop where it wanted to be a bit taily and required a little peddling to keep in line. It is telegraphing everything so no surprises and can feed small corrections in. Up around the eastern loop you have to be super cautious to stay on track as it drops off sharply on grass downhill to armco.

Yet to check photos but i don't think we had any where near the weight transfer as last time.

At this stage looking to try 400lb springs on front and 250 lbs on back. Also aiming for ride height neutral or even down at back slightly. As we cant run coil overs sourcing and getting height right is going to be a challenge.

That's good. Always takes a lot of effort to get one dialed in, but sounds like you are on the right track with a good base to work from.
Are you still running a rear sway bar?

Car prep done for Muscle Car Masters in Sydney on 5th and 6th September and car and trailer loaded up ready to go.

We have made no changes to suspension yet but she has had a full service/spanner check and replacement of one weeping welsh plug and some new non Glycol based coolant, a missing exhaust system bolt and one new rubber mount on fuel injection system. Also had to replace the shredded slick so will have two new tyres on board as well. Everything else appears to be behaving as it should.

You might be able to get those springs from Classicswede in the UK (that's also his username on here).
