Hard to believe this is the fifth one of these we've done. I had a blast this year, and really enjoyed every minute. I said it while we were there and I'll say it again, I really appreciate everyone pitching in to make things run smoothly this year.
So the official Saturday night headcount was 48. If you count everyone that was in and out over the course of the event, we had 58. Fifty-fuc<z>king-eight people! Hell of a turnout, hell of a group of friends to spend a weekend with.
Anyway, on to the photos:
We loaded up and rolled out with the trailer behind the T5 at about noon on Wednesday:
Got to the lodge early, but the caretaker was cool. Relaxed for a few minutes and then got busy setting up:
The important things were stowed carefully:
And then promptly passed out for the night:
The next morning, Dana, MrBill, Bayleigh, Liv, and I went on a short run down highway 215 to check out a waterfall:
Kyle showed up in his whiteblock-swapped Amazon:
We fried pretty much anything that would fit in Wren's Fryer of Doom:
JohnMC showed up in his turbo Ls 245 from Missouri:
A number of other people showed up Thursday afternoon/evening, including the Alabama crew, so we set the projector up outside and watched the OG Fast and Furious.
Friday morning was beautiful:
Nick showed up and immediately began to disassemble his turbo 940
This dude is a friend of Kenny/Sam who has since moved to upstate SC and decided to drop in with his supercharged 928. Awesome car, cool dude, can't remember his name.
Friday afternoon, a larger group of us went to check out another local waterfall
Isaac showed up at some point and he too began working on his car
Kaplan has a mean breaststroke
TequilaGundam Mark enjoying some flotation devices
Friday night
By Saturday morning, some wild tents had appeared:
Copious amounts of swine were fried up
My attempt at the group shot Saturday AM
This VG30 Turbo swapped 142 showed up:
I hopped in the mail jeep with Kyle and his dad on Friday to show them some gravel. This Megasquirted Mail Jeep made it all the way from Houston to NC over the course of a couple days. I was generously allowed to take this out for a spin a couple times, and it was hilariously terrifying.
Saturday Night:
Kenny droppin' butts
Saturday dinner:
Til next year...
