I bought this 245 from Mike (thebornotaku) in May of 2014 after my 760 caught on fire and I gave up trying to get the 740 to keep all it's fluids in and running.

It didn't run very well or get over 15 mph without lots of bad noises thanks to a dead mopar ignition box. I drove it a couple miles at running speed until I was close enough to my house to have it towed home for free, thanks AAA!

Got it home at around ten.

Those stickers had to go, sorry Mike.

For an awesome price of $1240 it came with 90% of the parts to turbo it and a bunch of spares. First thing I did was wire up ezk to it and after going to the yard to get a working ezk box this happened:

Listen to the M cam smooth as butter idle.

Got it smogged after that

and then immediately swapped in the A cam that came with it.

Drove it for few weeks like that, swapped out the slipping and trashed AW70 for the AW71 that also came with the car. No pictures because the 70 had been leaking fluid under the car for years and we were a horrifying mess during and after the swap.

Turning over 310k:

Got bored of how freaking slow it was and decided to +t it over the weekend before Western Meet 5.0:

After WM I swapped the maf to the correct side and put on a garret 740 bypass valve:

Idle controller started dying around then. Can also see the old 2.5 scrap exhaust side exit:

In November 2014 a truck pulled out in front of me and promptly went 20 mph in a 35. I slammed on the brakes but still tapped him. Insurance straight out told me since I rear ended him and there was no witnesses that it would be declared as my fault if I filed a claim. Luckily(?) the other driver didn't care about his truck so I got off with a smushed front end.

The next day I went to the yard and pulled the only decent looking right fender and the headlight/radiator support frame off a blue 242. Someone had already taken the driver side so I was still stuck with the dented one there. Luckily the car had also came with the original quad squares with H4 low/highs on the outside. Picked up the 81 DL surrounds from Mike a few days later too.

During a rain storm I managed to lose the bumper lip. And I cut down the broken flathood grill to fit the quad squares.

Sometime after that I got tired of 2.2 so I swapped the megasquirt/harness/wideband from the 740 into the 240 in a couple hours. After that there wasn't enough fast for me so I also took the ebay turbo from the 760/740, 90+ manifold, and 3in turbo back exhaust.

Broke the brake booster check valve, then found the top and fixed it with gorilla glue.

Broke a cheap ebay vband clamp.

Max'd out the 850 turbo injectors I was running, swapped to some 42 lb/hr ones. (Also from the old 760)

Turbo seals started leaking something fierce. I rebuilt it with an ebay kit but it didn't help much.

To make sure I didn't lose it on the next guy who cut me off I picked up a dash cam. (Warning: BORING)

At the end of Jan 2015 I bought a driver fender and lip from Gary (gstellr).

Then this weekend me and a few friends sanded down any rust and painted the car white using some cheap home depot cans. Anything better than the four colors the car was at that point.

Bye bye rust.

There's a few spots that need to be cleaned up but so far I'm impressed by how it came out, especially since it was a couple guys drinking, bbq, and painting with spray cans.

In the future I hope to get a new turbo and find some sticky tires for the Geminis (also came with the car) for Davis in a couple months. Oh yeah and get some tintz.

Any questions?

Unless you changed the front bar, I was running a 23mm front bar from a turbo car.

Check out A Shade Darker for the tint, they've quoted me totally reasonable prices for all the windows that would keep me CA legal. I think it was like 250ish.

also get the damn rear shocks changed out man, I know you haven't yet

23mm, 25mm, what's 2 mm?

I'm hoping the shop across from Mark's will be doing tinting again if he is doing the Davis pre-party again. Got the 760 done there for $160.

Shh, I'm putting in all the new poly stuff this week, including the shocks.

I'm just glad it's not 25/25. I had that in the 760 and it would just lift the inside tire and peel out for days.

Not that that wasn't fun.

well wagons came with larger rear sway bars as factory anyway I think. AFAIK sedans were like 17mm rear sway. Just putting the Bilsteins in there made it way nicer out back, and sway bars are a band-aid for not enough spring anyway.

^ Nice JURBO badge.

Nope the Turbo wagons had smaller stock sized rear sways from the factory.

So weird thing. Before I did this the wipers wouldn't work in intermediate and the blinkers would all blink like a bulb was out. Afterwards the intermediate setting is back and none of the blinkers work but the hazards do. :grrr:

Mike had some Pepboys tape on trim on there before. Don't know if I want to go that route or repaint some of the stock chrome trim black.

lolwut

**** it, just hit the hazards every time you need to turn and let people guess which way. bonus points if you wire in a wig-wag circuit

I never use them because they blink so fast you can't even tell they're on. I'm thinking about getting one of those $10 aftermarket electronic blinker relays and see if that helps.
The white looks pretty good.
It does! Needs tint and black trim though.

Front fender trim the same 86+? I haven't seen an -85 at Windsor in a long time.

79-83 DL

AKA the good stuff.

I hope one of those shows up at Windsor soon. What would I do without row52.

On another note, the blinkers work again and I did absolutely nothing, so that's a win for me.

Pulled the last of the stuff I wanted off the 740 before PnP grabs it tomorrow.

Installed the transmission cooler off it, had to do some interesting bending of the cooler lines to make it fit. Need to drill through the radiator support to mount the cooler down.

Installed the sunpro boost gauge that I kept from the 760. Matches the other gauges and doesn't rest +-3 psi around zero like the harbor freight one did.
