scrap wagon - '69 145 - always for sale

My kind of project!

Over in the UK everything thats already in a scrap yard can't legally come back out (mostly...) and TBH once an old car is in there, its usually because its no longer made from metal.

Struggling to find a worthy 145 (and there are no 122 here) that I won't spend 2 years cutting rust out of, seriously thinking of getting someone to send me a rolling shell from the US as shipping and duties will run to less than rot removal.
Thank you,

Push it up and let it coast down, you have to cast off around street corners anyway when you push them.

 Im not an animal. I use a hitch

Got it home today!
The front brakes were "stuck" since the backing plates got bent onto rotors when it was laid down without tires. Pushed them out with a screwdriver

Looks like an abused puppy stunned that someone is being kind to it

nice safe on the wagon.. is that what you want the sway bar for?

ever tow bar a car long distance... then lookup into the rear view and freak out? hahah i did my first time towing long distance as a teenager.. bmw 2002 on a dolly behind my 79 toyota pickup.

always brings a good laugh years later

Yes sway bar will be going on this thing.

With my "240 setup" the longest I have towed was ~200 miles, but that setup is bullet proof. The 140 makeshift setup worked just fine.... No tow dolly here:cool:
It always makes me nervous for the first few miles.

Worst was when I towed a 242 home with no panhard bar. Car would fishtail crazy every time I went over 30mph... I ended up taking back roads, even a dirt road for ~20 miles getting that pos home. Took me about 8 hours to drive 75miles

Jack, Do you know if those vent windows (front door) will fit a 240? I love that old look with the wing windows. Since the doors are the same I would think you could transfer the windows.. I could be wrong. lmk thanks!

Did you make a pull on that back corner? I still see a kink on the panel up inside. Your going to have to make the back hatch fit. Might wanna see how much a local body shop will charge to make a pull there. It mostly set up time is what your paying for. I dont think replacing the rear panel will do anything but "look" better.

The latch thats on the car right now has even gaps on both sides. Once you see the panel I want to replace you will understand why the bumper is cocked to one side
