• Hello Guest, welcome to the initial stages of our new platform!
You can find some additional information about where we are in the process of migrating the board and setting up our new software here

Thank you for being a part of our community!

I was too legit. Too legit to quit.

Mr. Dremel trimmed the wheel liner, and Mr. Hammer tuned up the metal inside the fender. Still a little rub in the left front over bumps in corners.

Can any of you pros that have lowered 740s suggest to me springs, strut inserts, and shocks for a ride height like this? On a '90 with ABS I'd probably have to send my fronts in to have coilovers made if I went that route, right?

Cool car and wheels. I like it. Don't paint the wheels black. Any inside or engine photos?

No more rubbing thanks to Mr. Dremel.

classic TB'er. doesn't even have a cinder block, let alone jack stands.

I am a classic TB'er. Been around since '03, New account. Just keep yourself out from under the car and it's a safe enough gamble. Got all the IPD bits on the car (using jack stands even!)

Repaired the speed sensor wires and now it is accurate, but the tachometer still isn't right. Any thoughts on where to look? It seems 'lazy' like it's not displaying all the engine RPM

It belonged to a local woman from around '95. I got it 3 years ago and live over behind the cemetery in that neighborhood.

Last round of repairs before my trip today.

Trip to Boise was cool. Need to do more maintenance on the front suspension and it will be golden. Anyone have suggestions for springs? Need to stiffen the front up a little more.

I got lured in with a catchy title. Can we have a nsf240owners disclaimer for these cars

First one might be a bit of coolant - maybe not, 3rd one looks a bit rich, leaky injector?

I have a 242 turbo so it's unsafe territory for both sides when I post. Am I not quirky enough?

I haven't done injector seals or anything yet, will look.
The one in the center was never torqued properly, notice the uncrushed crush ring. Could be why it's a little lighter (sucking a little air).
The loosest one was furthest to the left (rear of engine), could it be because it has no heat shield and the other three do? Ones in the center seemed tight upon removal, but good thought.

Trying to clean the engine bay one step at a time.

Edit: Should I just get an OEM coil, or is there some spiffy aftermarket one you 740 guys use?

Car has about 3k miles on the IPD upgrades and wheels. Understeer is much improved , and cornering is way more bearable
