UH OH in Cheyenne, WY

Glad to hear a successful identification of failure and replacement. It’s cold out there, especially right now so it’s nice to hear a Volvo heater is keeping you warm. Best of luck on your trip!

Yeah nice work getting it handled. Never fun having things break on the road in winter but at least you were prepared. ;-)

I've been catching up with family... arrived in Indiana this past evening, 2300 miles from Portland. Thermostat issue was the only kink. Having a new one on hand was convenient. After the quick swap at the hotel in Cheyenne everything was smooth sailing. The car didn't like to start in -0* temps but I encountered no issues otherwise. No stalls, no emergencies, no
no-starts. What a solid ride!

Footnote - I turn ignition key to on position and let fuel rail come up to pressure, and then turn to start position within several seconds...about when fuel pump is done priming.
