Atom's Amazon Wagon Project Update Thread

Hard to tell so sure from a picture but that color looks to have depth and warmth if that makes sense? Has an original vibe but more complex. Like it!

After seeing it in the sun today, I?m extra happy. In direct sunlight it shows brighter white, and in the shade it?s deeper. Almost like a pearl color, but much simpler. Also, in the pictures it looks fairly ?cream-ish? but in person it?s less yellow looking. All in all I?m plenty happy with the color. We?ll see once the whole car is painted, but so far....

I don?t see a gasket under that door striker

That?s cause I just put a bead of grey RTV around each bolt hole. I feel like everyone?s trying to ?catch me? today.:lol: so, before the next round comes through, -yes, I put antiseize on the stainless hardware and-yes, I satin clear coated the parts I bead blasted. I guess this is what happens when you put nice paint on something.

Dude, called it on that one.

Last pieces that needed to be cut in (besides the hood)

I’m so tired guys. I can’t keep up with notifications and I forget the GoPro some days. Paint is going on this weekend. Might be in a booth, might be in a garage, might be in my driveway, but it’s getting painted. There’s some more videos up on my YouTube channel. Same lame stuff. Can’t wait to post up some driving videos.

Absolutely stunning. What a way to show off what’s under the hood with something quite a bit different. Hats off Adam.

The giant calipers make a return! Also adding an OE gas strut to hold the hood.

In some more “bummer”-ish news, my entire department is being eliminated at work in six weeks. Which means the spend on this build will be dropping to next to zero. I’ll still finish paint and some other misc stuff, but the project will be going into hibernation a bit. Hopefully I can just enjoy the car as is for a while and not HAVE to do anything to it. Sorry guys

Sucks to hear the news about your job, but you'll get it turned around. Guys with your skills are valuable. Hopefully you can at least get the car to a point where you can use and enjoy it, then come back to the end goal later on.
