I love your 122...that thing is hot.

Quick question on the mirrors though. I'm confused on why some came with fender mounted and some didn't? Can one move the window mounted to the fender? I love the look of fender mounted mirrors, it just gives it that extra touch. Also what's the difference between a basic 122 and a 122s?

Sorry don't mean to thread jack, but once I'm out of college parents are going to help me with a 122s build and want to absorb as much info on them as possible.

I love both cars, and nice pictures!

...and for those that haven't seen either in person, they are as clean as they look in these pictures.

If he ever parts with that 122 let me know.

You guys should drive up to the volvo meet this saturady in Va beach

side mirrors, ac, and radios were dealer-installed options at the time. so mirror (and antenna) placement (and even style) was up to the whim of the person who installed it. the side mirror on my 67 is on the fender; i love it! looks don't matter as much as functionality to me, though. the fender placement is far better for viewing than on the door. you barely have to shift your eyes at all to check it. same goes for my dash-mounted rear-view mirror .

That's pretty much all I'm capable of doing when I look at the pics of your 122. If I keep looking, I think I'm going to need a towel. Wonderful car!

great pictures, that 122 is beautiful.

122S = stock dual carbs "performance model" We didn't even get the single carb engines in the USA (the 121 cars), and in Sweden, the 122 was known as the Amazon. They couldn't use the name elsewhere because of a lawsuit/trademark issue. I'm not sure about the mirrors...

Also, can we get higher res pictures if you got them? The biggest you've got. If you need hosting for the larger files I can set that up for you too.

Beautiful cars, I especially like the Amazon.

I think there's something wrong with your camera though. It doesn't seem to stay straight for certain photos.
