Default one more noob thread about resistor packs

i searched for resistor pack and found a beautiful diagram of the resistor pack retrofit, im a little confussed as to the wiring. where is the best place to get the 12v for the grey wire? and do i just piggyback the greens to the existing fuel injector wiring? OR do i now use the green wires as the power for the injectors. thanks in advance. oh and its a 92 244

You'll need to remove your intake manifold and pull it back from the head. This exposes the bundle of wires below where the injector wiring combines. On a late model 240, the 12v positive wire is orange... and just about near the oil separator, that large orange wire branches out to 4 orange wires for the injectors. You need to cut this wire and splice in your resistor pack. On the resistor pack, you connect your large green-red wire to the large orange, then the four green wires to the four orange wires.

The other option is to ditch the resistor pack and use high impedance, high flow injectors... like those found on 850turbo cars, or supercharged ford thunderbirds. bosch 785 or 756 respectively.

Shouldn't be. The 850T injectors flow the same as the low impedance "greentops" found on 740/940turbo vehicles.

They flow a bit more, but they are low impedance.

Go with the 850T injectors and forget about the resistor pack wiring, it's what I am going to do when and if I +T.

Good luck!
