I'm not sure I can make this...there's something work-related happening that weekend. I'll confirm after the weekend.

cheers

Oh this is is turning into a blood bath of epic proportions,

I may think about rescheduling this weekend meet in the new year to say 23rd/24th January as that will incorporate a RWYB at the pod where i fully intend to run the 750R up the strip and snatch the record back from nick.

Who is in favour of rescheduling to that???

We could still pick somewhere central to everyone and have an XMAS meal at a pub or something on the date above if enough peeps are interested.

May have to get ryan to change this title once again.

What do the others think about the 28th? Could still happen I guess, even though foggy is clearly made of fail Pub meal might not be a bad idea though.

Can't wait to see this. How much is left to do on the car now? You must be further ahead than I thought if you're that confident

Will be interesting to see how the S90 does on the strip - pocketdyno on the iphone reckons it's running mid 16s despite having wheelspin through first, second and some of third on these utterly bollocks pirellis

Could do both...I'm not expecting it to be re-scheduled on my account I'd be well up for a trip to the strip. Guess I could run the V70.

cheers

Lets still go for the 28th Nov - if Botters can't make it then that's his problem.

Jan can always happen as well

My car...

user error, the gasket supplied from volvo was somewhat a different shape to the one I removed, so 'carefully' trimmed it to the right shape, also the hole for the oil to flow through was a little smaller than the hole in the pipe.

having decided I no longer wanted to cruise around with a smokey turbo like I had for soo long, especially after buying that BEAUTIFUL (sounds lully when she's spooling) turbo from you I took the thing apart a few times making the hole bigger each time in the daft gasket.

after my third attempt no smoke - so only took a day to sort out - no damage done

I felt robbed as per usual by Volvo though, I might as well stick to using cereal boxes for gaskets, at least they work first time

The re-scheduale may work out ok for the pod, but can I really afford destroying both my box and clutch just chasing the top brick status?

anyhew, sorry late reply, I'll keep you all posted about next year, but this year is a definate no no.

been putting off buying red silicone to stop the exhaust buzzing for over a month now, maybe time for another cereal box gasket? hehe, you know I will!

If I wait till xmas I can steal some from Wagonracer - but only if I can find the stuff in that garage :o

Just to clarify, this xmas Meet is just a Pub Meal meet, there is no overnight accomodation available, if people want i'll try and co ordinate somewhere in the middle travel wise of all the peeps that are coming locations.

The staying over weekend is in january. This is just a evening xmas meal sort of thing.

I'm hoping for bad weather, by the way. If the weather is bad, my engagement will be off, and I'll be down. Thinking about it, it's not far to Bedford. What time is this going to be kicking off? My event should be over by mid afternoon...

cheers

I'll come to the pub meal meet, don't think I'll bother with the 'pod as I'll climb the walls with boredom anywhere near a drag strip.
