Hi, and welcome.

The best place to start is to make sure your car has what's referred to as a Stage 0 tuneup on it before you start tinkering (you can search these forums for Stage 0 for details). Once that's done, you can perform a few very inexpensive modifications like installing a calibrated boost gauge (so you actually know what boost you're running). After that, you can start with the extremely cheap (read free) airbox modification, which is a good idea anyway since if your 91 is anything like mine was, the old dampening foam inside your airbox is on its last legs anyway.) Again, try searching Airbox modification for some answers there. After that, assuming all else is working well, you can just buy/build yourself a manual boost controller ($25 and up to buy) and begin adding some additional boost. Your injectors and exhaust will most likely be your first limiters, but countless people here run between 10-12 pounds of boost on otherwise stock b230's.

Use the search function on these forums to start getting an idea of exactly how fast you want to spend and enjoy.
