Default Group "Z-28" spoiler

I went to the pick and pull today and found a rear spoiler from a '83 Z/28 Camaro. Just about perfect in length...Just a trim off @1/4 inch is all.
Rough fit.

After a few minutes of fitting and drilling and painting...

Not sure if I just might paint it the same wine red...Probably will...

Looks awesome. I'd be interested to see it painted red though. I've been thinking about making a similar style spoiler out of steel and molding it in

Awesome.

I woulda taken some time and used some sort of fiberglass or something and made it a little bit steeper and taller, but it looks great as is.

Oh and don't paint it red, it would look really awkward having this glossy spoiler while the rest of the rear is faded.

+1. You'll never get the color to match good enough not to look bad.

That looks so much better than you would expect from 'Z-28 spoiler on a 240'.

that looks sweet, it's actually not a very common spoiler to find at a junkyard, i was looking for a while and didn't see one to test fit on my 740. i ended up with an oddball spoiler from a 1985 chrysler laser turbo.

anyway, it's the center piece from the old camaro wraparound spoiler correct? like this...

Kyle (stick70) has one of those on his 242. There is a version with a brake light in the center as well.

Agreed with Matt...not an easy find.
