Default Volvo's That Run Chapter 15 Air Filter, MAFS and Throttle Body Duct

Chapter 15

I could not believe how easy the air filter box and throttle body duct worked out in my Diesel car. The original filter box is mounted forward of the right wheel well and remains in that position. The top of the Ford box ‘almost’ fits the Volvo bottom. It only required trimming a quarter inch off the right side and removal of the rolled over lips that locate the top on the filter. The Volvo bottom snap connectors fit the Ford top perfectly with use of a Volvo filter. Even better, the Ford duct between the MAFS and the throttle body did not require any modification at all. The whole thing looks like it was jointly designed by Volvo and Ford engineers.
