Yes! Update is Good!
Did some digging and found the exciter wire had frayed in the harness. Soldered in some nice new 14awg wire with a 3m insulated female connector. So far all is good. Voltage is staying constant, and my dashboard is lighting up like a x-mas tree again (in the good way)

Good! Exciter issues are ****ty. My old alt decided it wanted to wiggle itself off of both the exciter and charging cables. Had to re-crimp them when I was like 30mi out of civilization with nothing but a leatherman and a **** flashlight. Fixed that right quick when I got my Denso 100A in there. I'm all to experienced with alt issues.
