I have unlimited supply of Audi A4 2.0T ign. coils with built in ignitors if anyone needs them for MS or 16v setups. i don't know if anyone needs them, but i have like, ****s loads of them. lol

hi, anybody have the partnr on the mazda ignitionmodule that will give out the tachometer signal and also work with the bosch 2x2 coil with the buckha card?

i used a mitsubishi 6 cyl ingniter and just didnt use one of the i/o channels. worked great

Have you double checked the wiring inside the EZK? Are you getting a steady 5V across the power and ground pads on the spark board?

What do you mean by this?
Every board i send out is fully tested and I haven't had a single one be DOA. Is your coil and power stage confirmed working? Is that wiring properly done? There seems to be some confusion above regarding the J702T pinout. |

I have 5v from one of the launch control connections. My wiring is correct, is it a 5v signal to the power stage when cranking the engine?
Don't know why I didn't think of it before, I swapped my aw71 with a w55 manual tranny at the same time as installing the wasted spark. Think I might have missed something there. I'll be back at the car tomorrow and will have another look. |

Finally got around to having a good look, always learning! Sorry about my noobness
Is the wasted spark basically a "switch to ground"? Is there a way of confirming if it is operating correctly or if it's receiving the correct info from the EZK with out an oscilloscope? Engine's cranking, fuel and suppression relays are fine and switching, fuel pump primes, replaced the J702T power stage with another one that was confirmed working, also tried a Subaru power stage, Coil is in working condition and I've checked the wiring at least 20 times and still no spark I read somewhere that, with accessories on, the crank angle sensor is meant to have ground, 5v & 12v across the 3 wires. I have ground, 3.5v & 0v, could this be because I damaged the EZK when installing the wasted spark board or maybe a faulty CAS? Any way of testing without an oscilloscope? |

The wasted spark board simply takes the stock coil trigger signal and diverts every other pulse to two outputs. It is grounded when nothing is happening. When it goes high, it triggers the power stage to start charging the coil. When it then goes low, the power stage turns off and the coil makes a spark.
"ground, 5v & 12v" across the crank angle sensor doesn't sound right. It should output a sinusoidal signal of increasing amplitude with increasing RPM. You mentioned that you did a manual swap. Does that car have a neutral safety switch that you have to bypass? |
