Default prv turbo

I haven't seen any threads on the prv v6.

Does anyone use this engine with a turbo? Or am i just better off with the four cylinder?

Search infos for the Alpine version. It was the 2.5lt engine, 200 HP. Or for the Venturi cars also...

Been done, 500hp or so, search for John Lane..

Unless you have deep pockets and can fabricate (metal work, welding) I'd say stay with the 4 pot motor.

John swears by them. They cost more to initially build, but once built, they can make crazy power. What are your goals?

With H-Beam rods and forged pistons the even-firing PRV six will happily break all the stock drivetrain and bring smiles for years....

It must have proper engine management.

Exhaust must be fabricated to feed the right turbo. It is all doable. Makes a wonderful noise and the TORQUE

The Volvo redblock came with a turbo from the factory.... Thus easier to start.

A turbo six will make enough TORQUE that you will have to immediately upgrade the transmission, clutch, engine mounts in keeping with something that Goes like the hammers of hell!

I will build another. I have pistons and rods on the shelf.

I'm putting finishing touches on a 3.2 liter stroker kit. 3.4 liters can be done too. Not important with forced induction but it is already getting pistons, rods and the rotating assembly balanced... why not!

I am glad to know you did it, as opposite to going to the traditional carbed SBF/SBC approach. And, I can imagine how many people you can piss off with a (partially) *French* engine!

I have a Turbo engine in my 244. I am doing up a 242 GT and i have always liked the prv v6 and thought that it might be an option. Also i have been offered a 89 760 that i could use as a donor car.

240s, 760s and 780s. The best engine to start with is the last of them found in the 87-90 780.

Also check Eagle Premier for the latest evolution of the design.

I wonder which is the best? I have heard that the Renault prv used in the Delorean was one of the stronger designs.
