Default Garrett .52 vs 15g, which should I keep?

I'm running a .52 A/R Garrett from a '89 740. It spools nice and pulls pretty good. I picked up a 15g from an 850 at Pull-a-part. Are there advantages to running one over the other? The 15g has the blow-off valve attached which is nice I suppose. Is performance substantially better? I've heard/read it's nearly the same.

Thanks.

15g blow off sucks!!!!!!!!!!! I love my 15 but have never tried a 52 ar. I would use aftermarket blow off with 15g

I had one of those T3's on my 760. I think the 15G is a better choice but then I experienced each turbo on different motors. The 15G spools faster and doesn't seem to run out of steam any sooner. It's not hard to find a bigger cold side for you T3 at the JY though....

If it spools up quick and pulls good at low and mid rpm range and doesn't smoke why mess with it?

As far as I know I've read the Garretts are simpler to rebuild than the Mitsu.
The only reason I didn't use that turbo is because I didn't want to mess with installing a bov,The cbv on my 15g does just what it's supposed to do and my cars are mostly stock.

I have thought about buying a 15g for my 91 945 but the 13c is tight and spools up much quicker than my 94 with a 15g but there's not much left after 4k.

both are decent/ The 15g is a more mordern turbo.

The standard t3 has a horrible wastegate housing. The flat flange td04hl housing is a really nice design.

If you stay with the t3 get the ATP ultimatewaste gate or a cosworth housing.

I got one of those from Viva for my S60R, they are slick, I haven't installed it yet but they have nothing but good reviews.

I think the major benefit is consistency because of it being aluminum and more precise.
