I usually use Catco's (when I actually put one on). Summit sells the 6907 (3") for $127. As with most converters on Summit, you can find them cheaper, like here:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/CATCO-6907-U...-/220819547683

$78 shipped.

Have it on the 740. No issues. Sounds great.

But seriously, why you want the bullet type cat? MagnaFlow's 53000 series looks like stock cat with 2", 2.5" or 3" in/out for less $$ from Summit.

I was looking for something a little more hipo and I like the smallness of this cat, it would work well with the side exit

I have a 3" spun cat and i dont think there is enough flow. It may be my car, but i think i would go for the standard size 3" if you have room.

I'll be going with this exact cat myself precisely for the same reason Wilfordy mentions. It's tiny but still works.

FWIW, that is a performance cat and has a spun stainless substrate which can't melt down from rich running conditions like the ceramic substrate cats will. If you plan on keeping the cat on the car for a while, and you're running on chipped ecus that make you run overly rich, this would be the perfect candidate for the job.

EDIT: NVM what I said before, that cat has a ceramic substrate. Look for a stainless substrate cat. Do you have to run a tailpipe smog test?

This is the same one in the ebay ad, but getting it from Summit will make it about $30 more after shipping is involved.

Good call, dude. Didn't realize it was the metallic one until I referenced the part # from my post. I'll be going the ebay route now.
